Block mounts add depth and dimension, the print is first varnished with a protective lacquer to enhance UV light resistance to fading and protect from humidity. It is then mounted to a 2mm thick black foamalite panel which is then trimmed to the image size. This panel is in turn mounted to a larger 10mm thick panel to add a 65mm black border to all edges, the outer edge being bevelled to 45 degrees. Finally another 10mm thick panel is mounted to the reverse. This panel is much smaller and is not visible when viewing from the front, it effectively lifts the block mount off the wall creating a 3d effect. As an alternative we can supply the block mounts drilled in the corners and fitted with brushed aluminium wall spacers as shown in the left picture. These spacers hold the block mount off the wall by 25mm.
